When the BI Admin user logs into BI4Cloud they are presented with this Admin panel.
Some users have reported that the Run Reports, Cool Stuff, Info and Setup buttons don't work and the Organisation, User Admin and Company menu options don't work.
The BI4Cloud product runs in a web browser and accesses information across several Internet sites. When certain action are requested (buttons pressed) it may require that the information is displayed in a pop-up or call out to various resources, like google analytics. The product has been tested with most common browsers on both windows, MAC and tablets.
However your browser might have tight lockdown on what sites can be visited. Depending which browser you user (IE, Chrome, Safari, FireFox) you will need to ensure it is setup to allow these actions.
In short you need to check the PC Firewalls, Proxy, Popup Blockers (IE, Google toolbar, Yahoo toolbar) settings to confirm that they have an exception set for the web address (URL) of the site. Check Antivirus to confirm that it will allow the browsers normally.
As a quick test to determine if you browser settings are the problem temporarily do the following:
- turn off any anti virus software
- turn off any proxy server
- turn off any firewall
- turn off popup blockers ( some toolbar add-ons also block popups.
- Run the browser in Private browsing mode also know as incognito (chrome), private browsing (Safari), inPrivate (IE), Private Window (FireFox) - this step eliminates any caching or history that may be in the browser's memory or files that point to old data and that may prevent BI from working.
Try logging into BI again and determine if the button issue is resolved.
If the above resolve your issue then you will need to setup your browser to allow our websites through it protect. First undo the step you did above in 1-5 to put protection back on.
