Group Level MYOB Detailed Transaction Reporting via BI4Cloud
We have about 50 MYOB Business Files (some are higher tier plans with more functionality), but I'm looking for a way to build customised BI Reporting on a consolidated basis directly within BI4Cloud so that I don't need to do a myriad of exporting to Excel and amalgamation in Excel from MYOB.
I'm looking to build reports which allow me to investigate the finest details of transactions (which ever source reports will provide line by line transaction line data with maximised data capturing) along with which user entered this data into MYOB. Furthermore, I'm ideally wanting the MYOB File name also appearing in a column next to the data (akin to how one would amalgamate using Power Query) so that it's clear which MYOB file the transactions come from [ideally with Workfile ID#]. I'm also keen have the ability for example to be able to filter on a particular GL Account# (or group of them) and isolate to those which arise from actual bank transactions) and further filter by User.
Which is leading me to think that it would involve the following reports:
- Journal Security Audit Report
- Journal entries report
- General ledger report

You can connect and consoliddate as many MYOB files as you need. The consolidation occurs at transaction level.
If the file dooes not have the same Chart of Accounts then they can be Aligned from a master company's COA. See article Account Alignment
With the data avaialable at transaction detail level you can have summary P&L Pivot by Company and drill through to transaction. The file name is a component dimesion and can be display a field or a group by or a filter
You can also produce transactional P&L with Journal Lines, Grouped by Account and then the normal GL Income, Expense, Gross Profit etc.
The only exception to the requirements is the User who entered the transaction is not available in the API for AccountRight.
So Bi4Cloud will provide the Journal Enteries Report, the General Ledger Report but not the same a teh Journal Security report becase the is no User ID available.
