Uninstall ODBC issue

Regarding uninstall ODBC will leave behind ODBC driver in registry, we have not enough time to fix in this release. We’ll keep a ticket for future release.

Apart from workaround ABSS Premier ODBC version conflict , there is another workaround which we think more direct & effective:

This following is not recommended to be used by end-users as there is too much damage they can do using regedit. Instead click through on the above which is more designed for end-users

Whenever there are left-behind ODBC driver such as this:

( This program is in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe )

odbc-01.jpg

Workaround:

  1. Go to Regedit: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI Remove the folder of the left behind ODBC driver (eg ABSSMY1402)
  2. Go to Regedit: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers Remove the key of the left behind ODBC driver (eg ABSSMY1402)

This way, user don’t have to remove (& reinstall subsequently) whatever version of ODBC/app that sits on top.
