Now you can add up to 3 levels of Subtotals in any reports!
This is great when you have a hierarchy of data that you wish to report on.
1. P&L Reports
Group by Levels
Setup the first Group By on the Main screen. To setup additional Group By levels Click on the Green + icon next to the Group by.
- Analyse By: GL Account (Rows) - shows the individual GL account
- Group By: GL Account Level 2 - the first sub total will pick up the MYOB Account Level indents
- Group by 2: Account Type - the next Total is Income / COGS / Gross Profit / Operating Profit etc.
Group by Types
To control the type and presentation of the subtotals select from the following options:
- Columns - Instead of a Subtotal adds the Group by as a new Column of data
- Totals - Simple Subtotal under each Group by
- Totals on Top - Simple Subtotal above each Group by
- Headings and Totals - Shows a Heading before each group and a Subtotal under each Group by see screenshot above
- Headings and Summary - Shows a Heading before each group but no Subtotal under each Group by, helps to organise similar data together to view. See screenshot below.
2. Sales Reports
- Analyse By: Item(Rows) - shows the items sold
- Group By: Customer - the first sub total will subtotal sales by Customer
- Group by 2: Customer State - the next Total is by Customer State
Setup the first Group By on the Main screen.
To setup additional Group By levels Click on the Green + (see above) or click on the Advanced (Cog) Icon to open the Advanced editing screen.
3. Jobs Reports
- Analyse By: Job Number (Rows) - shows one line for each job
- Group By: Job Level 2 - the first sub total will subtotal at the 2nd Job Header level
- Group by 2: Job Level 1 - the next Total is by to Job Header level
4. Combination of Jobs and P&L Reports
- Analyse By:Job Number (Rows) - shows one line for each job
- Group By: GL Account - the first sub total will subtotal at the GL account
- Group by 2: Account Group - the next Total is Total Income etc.
