Exporting Reports to PDF and Excel and CSV Export is available when the Current Report Tab is selected.
The Current Report Tab is in the tab menu cluster of " | WorkBook | Current Tab | Drilldown | Filters | ".
Selecting a report Tab displays it's options. When a Tab is in focus it is shown in blue. This animation illustrates this.
Current Report Tab
The Current Report Tab will display the current report name, Customer List in this example screen. The Options include PDF and Excel ( XLSX) output. If the display screen is small the Options can be hidden under the ellipsis ( 3 vertical dots )
Excel Export Options
The XLSX has 4 options. To Action the option click on the option name, to show other options click on the pulldown arrow
- XLSX - will export a file in XLSX for for use in Excel and including the the report name and filter options
- Simple XLSX - will export a file in XLSX for for use in Excel without the the report name and filter options
- CSV - will export a file of comma separated fields and including the report name and filter options
- Simple CSV - will export a file of comma separated fields without the report name and filter options
Excel Export Examples
Warning - Avoid using characters in report names
Be careful when naming each report tab to avoid using characters including * ? : \ / [ ].
When these characters are in the report tab name they can cause issues when exporting the report to Excel.
