Hi all,
We are a not for profit and will be affected by the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) when it comes in. Do you know if MYOB has any plans to develop an add on that will allow us to bill for NDIS services directly based on the pricing that the NDIS provides or will we need to just do this using the time billing/ activity billing function.
We are using Account Right Premier4 (desktop version) and looking for the best way to handle this.

Hi Caryn,
We have been asked by MYOB to work with a number of organisations in NSW who were on the NDIS Pilot program to help them to determine the best way to move to the NDIS model and keep using MYOB.
Business Intelligence for MYOB is a Certified add-on solution for MYOB - see - http://myob.com.au/addons/certified-add-ons/
Yes it would seem the best approach is to use the MYOB Time Billing Functionality.
For the Pilot organisations we have worked with this is able to handle both Time based (hourly) services and also Activity based services e.g. for Group sessions etc.
The challenge is then how to get this information into the NDIS Portal, in a timely manner, to be able to claim for each service provided.
We have developed a Custom report using our BI software that is able to auto generate the csv file from MYOB ready to load directly into the NDIS Portal.
This not only saves significant time it also is far more accurate than double keying data.
You are able to sign up for a 14 day Free Trial of our BI software at www.BIforMYOB.com
The software comes with a full suite of flexible Advanced reporting covering Jobs, P&L, Sales and Time Billing that will also help you to manage the transation to the NDIS model.
Let me know if we can help you with this or if you have any questions.
